Richmond Wins 2011 Atlantic-10 Tournament

Richmond defeated Dayton to win the 2011 Atlantic-10 Tournament.

Kevin Anderson of Richmond was named Tournament MVP.

Joining Anderson on the All-Tournament Team was teammate Justin Harper, Chris Wright and Chris Johnson (Dayton) and Lavoy Allen (Temple).

Taylor's Old Dominion Monarchs Win CAA Tournament, Return To Big Dance

Blaine Taylor and the Old Dominion Monarchs won the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament for the second consecutive season, defeating Virginia Commonwealth by a 70-65 final in the championship.

Frank Hassell was named Tournament MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by teammate Kent Bazemore, Bradford Burgess (Virginia Commonwealth), Charles Jenkins (Hofstra), Cam Long (George Mason) and Jamie Skeen (Virginia Commonwealth).

Hassell led all tournament participants in points, rebounds and FIC.

Holloway Takes Atlantic-10's Top Honor, Richmond Sends Two To First Team

Tu Holloway of Xavier has been named the Atlantic-10 Player of the Year.

Damian Saunders of Duquesne won Defensive POY honors, while teammate T.J. McConnell won Rookie of the Year.

Joining Holloway on the All-Conference First Team were Kevin Anderson and Justin Harper (Richmond), Lavoy Allen (Temple) and Andrew Nicholson (St. Bonaventure).

On the All-Conference Second Team are Saunders and teammate Bill Clark, Delroy James (Rhode Island), Ramone Moore (Temple) and Tony Taylor (George Washington).

On the All-Conference Third Team are Mark Lyons and Jamel McLean (Xavier), Juan Fernandez (Temple), Anthony Gurley (Massachusetts) and Chris Wright (Dayton).

Khalif Wyatt and Scootie Randall (Temple) won the Sixth Man of the Year and Most Improved Player awards.

Jenkins Receives CAA Player Of The Year Award

Charles Jenkins of Hofstra was named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year.

Old Dominion's Kent Bazemore was named Defensive Player of the Year and Devon Saddler of Delaware received Rookie of the Year honors.

Joining Jenkins on the All-CAA First Team are Chaisson Allen (Northeastern), Denzel Bowles (James Madison), Frank Hassell (Old Dominion) and Cam Long (George Mason).

Bazemore (Old Dominion), Samme Givens (Drexel) Ryan Pearson (George Mason), Jamie Skeen (Virginia Commonwealth) and Chad Tomko (UNC Wilmington).
